Halloween weekend

Just returned from a really fun weekend.  My sister and her family have been going to Plymouth, CA the weekend before Halloween to the 49er Village RV Park for their Halloween celebration.  Believe it or not, in February I will be making reservations for Halloween 2015.  Yes, 2015!!  Last February I made them for next Halloween and was only able to go this year because someone in their group had to cancel.  On Friday afternoon I took off with all four grandkids.  Kim came up after coaching Brady's soccer team on Saturday.  The park was filled to capacity and everyone was out decorating, including some who made haunted houses for the kids to go through.  The festivities started at noon on Saturday with Mary, Robert and Kiley (great niece), entering the 5 and under costume contest.  At 1:00 was Shandley and Allison and Brynn (more great nieces) in the 6-8 category.  It was also time for Sam and Scuts (dogs) to show off their costumes.  At 2:00 was Brady and Emma (last great niece) who had their turn.  Forgot to mention that after they walked across the stage in their costumes, they had a "screaming" contest.  Brady was in it to almost the end.  We all thought he should have won.  They also had face painting, decorate your own Halloween bag, decorate a cupcake, pumpkin spitting contest, and free lemonade, spiced cider and popcorn.  Starting at 5:00 the kids (and grownups) went trick or treating at all the RV's and at 7:00 they announced winners of the contests.  We had one first place winner in Allison who was a "flip flop".   I think the kids had a great time and I know I did.  Now we know the ropes and will be better prepared for next year.
